Writing:

Dear Ms Matthews,
I am writing in response to the advert for part-time Saturday animal care assistants which appeared in the Nottinghamshire Echo on 10th November. I would be very grateful if you would consider my application and I enclose my CV.

I have considerable experience of looking after animals. In addition to having two dogs, I have spent summers working on my uncle's farm in Devon. I also did work experience at a veterinary clinic for a week in April, which was an invaluable opportunity to learn more about small animals.

I believe I have the right personal qualities for this position. I would describe myself as hard-working and dependable, and I am passionate about animals and it would be highly satisfying to help injured and abandoned animals. As I want to study veterinary science at university, I hope to gain experience at the same time.

I am available immediately and would be happy to attend an interview. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Your sincerely,

Jhon Cena

Hiya,
How are you? How was the concert? Thanks for your email. Sorry it's taken to me so long to reply. I've been really busy with exams and band practice.

Guess what! I've got some great news! My parents have agreed to let me go to the Reading Festival next summer! They're going to give me half of the money for the ticket for my birthday. To earn the other half, I have to help out with odd jobs at home tyding up the garage, looking after my little sister, that kind of stuff. Have you spoken to your parents about it yet? Why don't you suggest doing the same thing?

My other news is that my band is playing at the end-of-therm party! We're only going to be on stage for ten minutes or so, but I think it i'll be awesome. It's also a good way to promote our music, so we're really pleased.

Anyway, how are things with you? What have you been doing since you finished your exams? I'd Better go now- I've got to sutdy!
Bye for now,

Chris

THE BEST HOLIDAYS I HAVE EVER BEEN ON

The best holidays I have ever been on where in Senegal last year. I went there with my family.

There we visited the Nile river, and there we saw a crocodile! Also, the next day we made a trip to the desert in camel. The food there was delicious, there was kebab, durum, falafel,... The problem was that all was very spicy!

The reason why this holidays are the best is becauase the last day we go lost, and we saw a lion!!!

To sum up, I enjoyed a lot that holiday, and I learned a lot about Africa.

Train companies to introduce free Wi-fi on all trains

Dear Editor,

I'm writing in response to an article from the newspaper about free Wi-fi on all trains. I completely agree with the article and I would like to talk why that's a great idea.

Firstly, free Wi-fi is very usefull for people who travel a lot, because while they are traveling , that is a great amount of time, they can be working. Also, becuase young people don't get bored while traveling, and they can play and talk online.

Secondly, Wi-fi is very cheap and easy to mantain so it isn't to expensive.

Kind regards,

Marc

THE KINECTIC ENERGY, THE ENERGY OF THE FUTURE?

It's well-known that the kinetic energy is one of the most effective sustainable source of energy. It is generated just by movement! It could supply all the energy of a city with a little space, also it is unlimited!

How about using kinetic energy at school? They could provide energy to all the lights and computer for free!!! As a result the schools would be cheaper and more accessible to people.

However, it is known that kinetic energy don't last for long because the batteries and other parts get very worn easily so it could be a bit expensive for a school and it won't be very suitable, but it's a way to not pollute our planet because we only have one!

To sum up, although kinetic energy have some problems, I think that it would be a good thing for a school because even that it may be expensive to install I think it could be good for our environment. Schools would stop using no sustainable energy and it will help a lot our planet. In my opinion schools must install it in the future because actually it's quite hard for a school to save that amount of money, but it will be a very good way to reduce pollution.

WRITING UNIT 2

Dear Sir / Madam
I am writing to complain about the last pop concert of the Pop star Abraham Matheo, because I spent 20$ to see him playing or at least listen to him but I was really wrong.

In the first place, there were too many people and you weren’t able to see the stage, but the worst thing is that you weren’t even able to listen!!! Because the speakers were too low and it was absolutely disappointing.

In the second place, Abraham Matheo wasn’t able to come and another group played for him. The music was awful! This means that I wasted my money on a mediocre group. That’s totally inappropriate when you have spend 20$ to see the star!!!

It wasn’t what I went to see so I want a refund or at least a free concert because that was totally frustrating! And I want it very soon! I hope that no one comes again to your concert next time and you end up poor with no money!
Your faithfully,
Marc Caro

WRITING UNIT 1

Hi John Cenna,
How are you? How was the film? Thanks for your e-mail. Sorry for my delay to reply, because I have been very stressed with the homework and my rowing trainings.

I've got some amazing news, we have adopted a dog! It's called Chaka and it's a doge, it's white and very cute. At the moment I can't take the dog for a walk because he is very little, it's only 3 months, and i won't be able to take the dog for a walk until it's 5 months old. He lives in our garden in a cool little dog house. Have you spoken to your parents about it yet? Why don't you buy the same type of dog?

My other great new is that I joined a proffessiona chess e-sport club called FaZe Clan. And we are going to play a match this weekend at the town hall. I think it's going to be insane! It's a good way to promote chess and make people play this game.

Anyway, how are things with you? What have you been doing these days? I'd better go to a row training or I'm going to be late!
Bye for now,

Marc
